AVC Group is one of the UK’s leading services company, encompassing digital, media and energy solutions. AVC Energy offer a wide range of renewable energy solutions to meet the needs of the domestic and commercial market throughout the UK and offer a fully managed end-to-end solution from initial design through to system installation for Solar PV and other forms of renewable energy. With a national engineering team able to provide local delivery, we can support energy projects with a wide range of energy solutions that include Solar PV, Solar Thermal, Air Source Heat Pumps, Ground Source Heat Pumps, Wind Turbine and Biomass.
The energy market is continuously evolving with new Government initiatives launched such as Feed-in-Tariffs (FITs) and others that are being planned such as the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). At AVC Group we are constantly researching the market and we keep a watching brief on the latest Government initiatives and develop our market proposition accordingly, in line with a constantly evolving and innovative technology led sector.
As a business we are Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) accredited.
Solar Panels
Solar PV systems are a straightforward and convenient way of generating electricity for use in buildings or homes and feeding back any surplus electricity to the National Grid.
Because Solar PV technology produces electricity from daylight not direct sunlight, it still produces energy on cloudy or overcast days and as such is an increasingly popular way to provide energy at a very low cost.
Installing a Solar PV system brings a range of commercial and environmental benefits, including:
Free daylight electricity
Reduction in electricity bills
Reduction in carbon footprint through reduced CO2 emissions
Income from all surplus electricity generated (Feed-in-Tariff)
Good return on investment
Guaranteed income from the FIT (Feed-in-Tariff)
More independence from utility companies
Increased property values
Greener corporate image and credentials.
Feed-in-Tariff
The Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) scheme for Solar PV was introduced by the Government in April 2010. The scheme is index linked and guaranteed for 25 years.
Feed in Tariffs are available to anyone wishing to generate their own electricity, including home owners, public sector bodies, charities and businesses. Anyone producing up to 5 megawatts of electricity will qualify, with most installations being under this limit.
Under the scheme there are 3 elements that benefit the home/building owner:
Generation Tariff – a payment for every kilowatt hour (kWh) generated
Export Tariff – an additional payment for every kWh exported to the national grid
On-Site Benefit – using the electricity produced by the Solar PV system within the building as it is generated and therefore avoiding using electricity from the national grid.
EnergyEye
EnergyEYE is a web based data collection and remote monitoring system designed specifically for renewable energy systems.
There are 4 key elements to EnergyEYE:
Data collection – site survey and evaluation details.
Data collection – installation details.
Post installation registration and notification – DNO, NiCEic, Test and Commissioning information.
Remote Monitoring & Performance – with associated alerts and reports
